Oneida is blessed to be located between Utica and Syracuse (about 20 to 25 minutes away), which makes it handy for employment and cultural centers such as museums, theaters and airports. Oneida, Syracuse and Utica are all considered to be state of the art medical facilities. The school systems along the Route 5 corridor are among the best. Oneida’s hospital facility is conveniently located on Rt. #5 and the excellent Public Library is located on Broad Street.
There are quaint shops in the Oneida Downtown area and we have Lows, Wal-Mart, Sears and Central Tractor Supply nestled nearby. We are about seven minutes from two Thruway exits, one located in Canastota, to the west and the other in Verona, to the east. It takes about ten minutes to get to Oneida Lake where there is a State Park located adjacent to Rt. 13. The Lake is about 22 miles long and seven mile across and the boating and fishing are the best. There are parks galore, throughout the whole mid-state region.
